Stephen Kyle Hartzog, DMD

Stephen Kyle Hartzog, DMD

Dr. Kyle Hartzog grew up in South Carolina where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. Following dental school, he completed a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at NYU Langone Hospitals.

In his free time, Dr. Hartzog loves to spend time with his wife, family, and friends. He and his wife, Lauren, are always excited for an adventure. Whether it is trying new foods or traveling across the world, he and Lauren are always seeking out new experiences. He enjoys traveling, running, good food, and doing anything outdoors. Dr. Hartzog is also very active in his church and is passionate about dental mission trips.


Marie Shidler, DDS

Marie Shidler, DDS

Dr. Marie Shidler grew up in Colorado where she he attended the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine for her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.   Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Shidler served in the United States Air Force and completed a one-year residency in advanced general dentistry at Scott Air Force Base. She then served three years in Spangdhalem, Germany where she focused her efforts towards treating military children. Once she completed her service, she completed a two-year pediatric residency at Texas A&M College of Dentistry. 

In her free time, Dr Shidler loves spending time with her family, especially since having her sweet baby – Cooper.  She enjoys spending comfortable time at home.  You can always count on a great show recommendation from her!  


JESSICA BELL, DDS

Dr. Bell is recognized by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry as a board-certified pediatric dentist. Dr. Bell is a native Texan and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She attended Baylor College of Dentistry and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2002. Following dental school, she completed a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at Baylor College of Dentistry, Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.


Lauren Nelson, DDS

Dr Nelson

Dr. Nelson is recognized as a board-certified pediatric dentist by the American Board of Pediatric Dentists. Originally from Arlington, Texas, she always knew she wanted to make a difference in the lives of children. Dr. Nelson graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 2008. She achieved her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry in 2012 and completed a two-year residency in 2014 for a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at Baylor College of Dentistry, serving children at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Dr. Nelson is an active member of Highland Park United Methodist Church and enjoys reading, being outdoors with friends and family, and traveling with her husband, Kevin.

MICHELLE M.

Michelle

Michelle is a Registered Dental Hygienist and joined our team in 2011.  Michelle graduated from TWU with a Bachelor of Science. Michelle is passionate about educating our patients and parents on the importance of great oral health! In her free time, she spends lots of time with her kitty cat – Cupcake, goes on long walks and loves spending extra time with friends.


TASHA

Tasha

Tasha is a Registered Dental assistant that has been with LKD since 2018. Tasha is passionate about working with children and creating a comfortable experience and providing top notch care! In her free time Tasha enjoys spending time with family in Arkansas.


Amanda

Amanda

Amanda is a Registered Dental Assistant. She is passionate about educating our patients and loves helping the little ones feel comfortable and confidant in their smiles – as well as making the visits FUN! In her free time, she loves spending time outside and making memories with her 4 kiddos!


MICHELLE D.

Michelle

Michelle is a Dental Assistant who has been a familiar face in our office since 2013, previously welcoming patients at the front desk. Michelle was ready for a new challenge and has demonstrated her passion for creating a fun, educational and positive appointment for all of our patients and parents. When she is not at the office, her hobbies include traveling, trying new restaurants and spending time with her family!


DANIELA

Daniela

Daniela is part of our Administrative Team and has been with LKD since 2016. She is a dedicated team member with a strong focus on creating a positive and supportive experience for every family. In her free time, Daniela enjoys going on nature walks, crafting and spending time with her family – but her favorite is spending time with her son!


Rosa

Rosa

Rosa is part of our Administrative Team. Rosa ensures a smooth check in process for all of our patients and loves interacting with the little ones! In her free time, she loves to go shopping, watch movies, travel, and spend time with friends and family.


SONJA

Sonja

Sonja is our Office Manager. She has been with our team since LKD opened in 2010. She brings a wealth of pediatric experience, so don’t be surprised if you ever see her in the clinical area! She is passionate about providing positive patient experiences and ensuring all parents leave the office with a full understanding of their child’s needs. In her free time, Sonja enjoys cruising estate sales and watching true crime documentaries.
